How Winds and Friends Came to Be
When we couldn’t find a Mahjong set that captured the spirit of the north, we decided to create our own. Whether it’s the peaceful mornings sipping coffee on the dock or lively evenings spent with friends and family by the fire, we wanted a collection that reflected that unique feeling and beauty. We’ve spent the last several months meticulously designing custom tiles and sourcing the finest materials to ensure our sets and accessories are as beautiful as the landscapes that inspired them.
From the shores of the lake to your living room table, we hope our Lakeside Retreat and Northern Comfort collections bring as much joy to your gatherings as they do to ours.
The Meaning Behind Our Name
In the game of Mahjong, every seat corresponds to a direction—East, South, West, or North. As the rounds progress, the winds shift, mirroring the connections and shared moments passing around the table. We wanted our name to honor those exact moments of togetherness.
Our brand captures the essence of modern play: it is refined yet joyful, timeless yet deeply personal. Every single tile and accessory we design is a true labor of love. Drawing deep inspiration from our time spent surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the North, we’ve crafted custom tiles that aren't just functional game pieces—they are infused with personality, warmth, and stories that mean the world to us. We hope our designs bring a spark of joy to your table, helping you build lasting memories one tile at a time.
Building and running this online boutique together has been an absolute dream. We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to share a game we adore with you, and we are so incredibly happy you've joined us here.
Thank you for being part of our story.
